This story is dedicated to
the pet bunnies in my childhood, and the missing family members,
Sherry, and her children.
Sherry, the poodle, doesn't like thunder.
She goes crazy every time when hearing the humming of the thunder.
Little does she know there is a HUGE thunder about to strike through the sky
and all the way to the end of the horizon.

This is the beginning of the story.

As the thunder strikes through along with the storm,
Poor Sherry just snapped.
She runs and runs, through the passengers and the heavy rain.
Away from her lovely home, not knowing where she is heading for.

The storm doesn't last long.
Under the bench, Sherry runs into Bunny, who has  sky blue eyes and little mushroom ears.

They become friends on the spot.
Even the weather at night is freezing, with friends, it's just like sleeping under the doona of the starry sky and feeling warm.

During the day, they like to play in the park.
Japanese garden is one of their favorite parks.
They love to sniff at all the exotic flowers.

This good weather doesn't last long.
The coming storm is MUCH STRONGER than the last one.
The thunder is so close as if you can feel it reach the ground nearby.
Poor Sherry is on the run again.
This time in the heavy rain, memories of home and family are found.
And she runs and runs .......

After the storm, Bunny can not find Sherry anywhere, not even at the Japanese garden.
Bunny never gives up waiting from sunrise to sunset.
Sad Bunny cries so much that her eyes are tinged with red.
Her longing to hear the steps of homecoming Sherry has made her ears so much longer.

Time passes by,
Bunny's ears get longer and longer from hoping to hear from Sherry.

That is why all rabbits now are with long ears and red eyes. Because they are waiting for their long lost friends.
